Customer Portal Help

Everything you need to check on your cameras, watch live or recorded video, review events, and control your site from the SiteView customer portal.

The SiteView portal is where you check on your cameras: watch live or recorded video, review recent activity, and arm or disarm your sites. You'll only ever see your own sites and cameras here.

This guide has one main page:

  • Using the Portal - Home (site overview, arm/disarm, schedules), Cameras (live view, playback, per-camera schedules), Events, Documents (quotes, bookings, invoices, files), Support, and the account menu.

Getting access

An account is set up for you against your sites by the SiteView team - there's no self-registration. Once it's set up, you can sign in with your email address.

Signing in

There's no password to remember. Sign-in is a one-time code sent by email:

  1. Enter your email address.
  2. SiteView emails you a 6-digit code (valid for 10 minutes).
  3. Enter the code to sign in.

If the code expires, just request a new one.

The same five tabs appear as a sidebar on desktop and a bottom tab bar on mobile: Home, Cameras, Events, Documents, Support. The Documents tab only appears if you've been given document access on at least one site. A theme toggle and your account menu (Profile, Sign out) sit in the top bar on both layouts.

Sites and permissions

If you have access to more than one site, they're all shown together - as separate cards on Home, and as filter options on pages like Cameras - rather than switched between one at a time.

Each site you can access carries its own permission level:

  • View - watch live/recorded video and browse events.
  • Edit - also change recording/arming schedules, and arm/disarm from Home.

If you don't see schedule or arm/disarm controls for a site, your account has view-only access to it - contact SiteView to request edit access. Document upload and delete follow their own separate permissions: uploading requires edit access to that site's documents, and you can only delete files you personally uploaded.

Updating your details

From the account menu, open Profile to update your name, phone number, and email address. Changing your email here also changes where future sign-in codes are sent, so make sure it's one you can access before saving.
