Customer Portal Help

Everything you need to check on your cameras, watch live or recorded video, review events, and control your site from the SiteView customer portal.

The customer portal (siteview-portal) is the customer-facing side of SiteView - a mobile-first web app (and, in future, a wrapped mobile app) scoped to one customer's own sites and cameras only. It's how a customer checks on their hired cameras, watches live or recorded video, reviews events, and arms/disarms their site - without seeing anything belonging to other customers (that's a strict multi-tenancy boundary enforced by the backend).

This guide has one main page:

  • Using the Portal - Home, Cameras (live view, playback, schedules), Events, Control, Documents (quotes, bookings, invoices), Support, and the More/account menu.

How customers get here

The portal is linked from the SiteView Security website - the marketing site for the business. Customers don't self-register; an account is set up for them (against their sites) by the SiteView ops team, and the customer signs in with their email.

Signing in

There's no password to remember. Sign-in is a one-time code sent by email:

  1. Enter your email address.
  2. SiteView emails you a 6-digit code (valid for 10 minutes).
  3. Enter the code to sign in.

If the code expires, just request a new one.

  • Desktop / wide screens - a top navigation bar across Home, Cameras, Events, Control, Support, and an account menu.
  • Mobile - a bottom tab bar with five tabs: Home, Cameras, Events, Control, and More (Support and account settings live inside More).

Multiple sites

If your account has access to more than one site, a site switcher lets you pick which site you're viewing - everything else in the portal (cameras, events, schedules, control) is scoped to the selected site. Your last-viewed site is remembered between visits.

Each site you can access carries its own permission level:

  • View - watch live/recorded video and browse events.
  • Edit - also change recording/arming schedules and use site-wide Control (arm/disarm).

If you don't see schedule or control options for a site, your account has view-only access to it - contact SiteView to request edit access.

Updating your details

From More (mobile) or the account menu (desktop), tap Edit on the Account card to update your name and phone number. Your email address can't be changed here since it's tied to how you sign in.
